Triaxial Test


The GCTS Large Scale Triaxial Systems were designed to perform triaxial tests on soils with large particle sizes, such as railway ballasts and rock backfills. These systems can apply large loads to very large specimens and can perform advanced tests in addition to typical triaxial tests. 

 

The GCTS Large Scale Triaxial Systems feature:

 

  • Electro-hydraulic digital servo control
  • Specimen diameters of up to 1000 mm
  • Specimen heights of up to 2000 mm
  • Axial loads capacity of up to 3000 kN
  • Cell pressure capacity of up to 3000 kPa
  • Can perform dynamic tests at up to 20 Hz
  • Certain systems come with a dynamic compaction frame with a 200 kN load capacity and up to 100 Hz, allowing large specimen to be created using the same machine

The GCTS Large Scale Triaxial Systems were designed to test very large specimens at high loads. These systems can test typical triaxial tests as well as hollow triaxial tests, liquefaction, resilient modulus, cyclic strength, complex modulus, and other advanced tests.
