Rock Triaxial Test

Rapid Triaxial Rock Testing Systems (RTR Series)

Optimized for high throughput triaxial and unconfined testing being capable of pressures up to 210 MPa and temperatures up to 200 °C for specimens up to Ø4” (100 mm). The defining feature is a very stiff box load frame with an integrated automated cell lift and locking mechanism (no bolts required), which significantly reduces setup time and can double daily test productivity. Configurable across a broad range of load capacities, pressures, temperatures, specimen sizes, and stiffnesses. Supports upgrades for indirect tension, pulse-decay permeability, direct shear, multi-stage testing, and additional advanced procedures. Accepts internal instrumentation such as, on-specimen deformation, ultrasonics, acoustic emission, etc.

Rock Triaxial Testing Systems (RTX Series)

High performance line for precise rock evaluation under controlled stress. Utilizes a robust four-column load frame with a standalone high pressure triaxial cell supporting internal axial and radial strain and other instrumentation. Closed-loop digital servocontrol enables direct control of stress, strain, and derived parameters. Offers extensive configurations of axial loads up to 4,500 kN, confining pressures up to 420 MPa, Temperatures up to 300 °C, and stiffness up to 5 MN/mm for specimens up to Ø4” (100 mm). The system supports a wide array of automated tests including unconfined compression, standard triaxial, bending, indirect tension, fracture, creep, and post-failure behavior.

Rock Triaxial Machine (RTM Series)

Compact, economical servocontrolled system dedicated to precise triaxial and unconfined compression testing. Features a stiffness 500 kN load frame and an integrated pressure/volume controller for confining pressures up to 10,000 psi (70 MPa). Compatible with the GCTS QTRX Quick Triaxial Cell and standard Hoek cells for diverse specimen geometries. Provides high precision, load/stress and deformation/strain-controlled modes, making it suitable for geotechnical research, academic, commercial labs, and engineering studies of rock strength, deformability, and failure under simulated subsurface conditions.
