Specimen Grinding
The GCTS Specimen End Grinders provide the final step to prepare test specimens with parallel and flat ends according to ASTM and ISRM specifications. The grinders are driven by heavy-duty electric motors for durability and come with a 152 mm (6″) diamond cup wheel. Each grinder moves the specimen across the face of the grinding wheel, allowing the entire face of the specimen to be ground flat with a single pass.
GCTS also offers Specimen Core Drills, Specimen Lab Saws, and a Specimen Verification Kit to fully prepare a cylindrical rock specimen for testing.
