Permeameter/Coreflooder
GCTS offers a range of advanced high-pressure, high-temperature permeameter (HPP) vessels, engineered to support sophisticated core sample testing under extreme subsurface conditions relevant to emerging and conventional energy sectors.
These specialized coreflooding systems enable precise experimentation on rock cores, accommodating elevated confining pressures, pore pressures, and temperatures that replicate deep geological environments. They support critical tests such as fluid injection, displacement processes, permeability evaluation, rock-fluid interaction studies, and extended-duration exposure assessments.
The vessels facilitate research across diverse applications, including enhanced geothermal systems, hydrogen storage and production, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), advanced hydrocarbon recovery techniques, and other subsurface energy storage and extraction methods.
To accommodate testing with aggressive or chemically reactive fluids—such as those containing H₂S, CO₂, acids, or other corrosive substances—GCTS provides corrosive-resistant configurations. These versions utilize specialized materials and design features to ensure long-term system integrity, resist degradation, and preserve measurement accuracy throughout prolonged, high-risk operations.
