Indirect Tension (Brazilian) Test


The GCTS Indirect Tension Module can be used with any GCTS unconfined, triaxial, or point load tester frame to determine the indirect tensile strength of rocks. The low-weight, high-strength design makes this the ideal device for performing Brazilian tests. 

 

This device features:

 

  • Hardened stainless steel design
  • Very easy to set up and use
  • Specimen diameter from 50 mm to 150 mm, with larger diameters available upon request

The GCTS Indirect Tension Module is used to determine the indirect tensile strength by the Brazilian test. This device conforms to the test standard established by the International Society for Rock Mechanics. The device has an upper and lower support ring created with a low weight, high strength design.
